The Rob Mitzner Group’s repertoire features both original material and standards to suit any performing situation, including straight-ahead jazz, avant-garde, Latin, and fusion stylings. From an offbeat arrangement of Charlie Parker’s “Donna Lee”, to innovative original compositions, to Herbie Hancock’s “One Finger Snap” performed in a 7/4 time signature, the band’s unique sound transcends many different genres. The group works as a piano trio or a guitar trio and can add additional players as the situation warrants, often working with a vocalist, saxophone, trumpet or guitar in addition to its core lineup.

The band currently maintains a regular residency at Anthem Restaurant & Bar in downtown Boston, as well as at the Goodlife Downtown. They can also be heard regularly at Skol Restaurant & Lounge in Nashua, NH, and popular Boston nightspot The Fireplace; and recently completed an 8-month stint hosting a Sunday jazz brunch at Figs in Chestnut Hill, MA. The group has also appearing live in studio on 88.1WMBR Boston program "Funky Monkey".
